Alright, time to dive in! I’ve never dropped an engine/trans from a 911 before, so here’s a video of my first attempt!
In this episode,
I go through all the things you need to disconnect/remove
, and cover a lot of tech tips. The squeeze clamp on giant wrenches is especially rad at 4:20 (ayyyee). As you can see, the garage is pretty small and doesn’t have a lift, so I wound up purchasing a motorcycle jack off from amazon and used it in conjunction with a floor jack.
Remember, pulling out only works some of the time, but I got lucky and things went pretty smoothly! Stay tuned!

The equipment and mechanics of getting it out aren’t all too different than a water cooled car(I use a similar motorcycle jack, lower engine and trans, raise rear of car, remove, lower). Most Everything else is different. Nicely done.

Thank you! It felt weird because every other time I’ve done this it came out the top, not the bottom.
